So here's some exciting news! I (with my Partner) are through to the next round of applying for an upcoming couples episode of Come Dine with Me.
It was such a coincidence because it was only a couple of weeks ago we were having a discussion about what TV shows we'd apply to be on. My partner suggested Take me Out (slightly worrying), so I said I'd much rather be on Come Dine with Me. Literally a few days later Come Dine with Me Tweeted us saying we should apply (and so we did).
After getting through the phone interviews we now have a couple of producers coming around tomorrow to interview us in front of a camera. After which, we'll know whether we've been picked or not out of a group of 20 couples.
Unfortunately that's all we know for now. If we get through, recording will be in early March with two other couples. Which means I seriously need to start thinking about what we'd serve up for starters, main, dessert, and of course entertainment!
I think what would be fascinating is to see how we react as a couple in front of the camera and with two other couples in our company (which we may or may not have too much in common with). I also love Dave Lamb's narration on the show as he never fails to make anything anyone does or say a comedy moment.
