Check out my Kenwood kMix hand mixer review – my latest look at kitchen appliances to be put through their paces. This Kenwood hand mixer is available at House of Fraser along with loads of other bakeware.
The great thing about this hand mixer is it comes in a variety of colours. Including red, cream, black or white. It also has a really cool retro look especially in red and cream. The kMix has 5 speed settings and a pulse function. It also has a good, sturdy rubber grip on the handle.
It has a 350 watt motor, which in my opinion is between mid and high range for a hand mixer. It also comes with a pair of beaters, kneaders and a stand to go with it.
When using the hand mixer, the rubber grip comes in really useful to stay in control. Plus, it’s a powerful machine so it can whip up things like egg whites in about 30 seconds – that’s fast!
Another good feature – you can keep the cord nice and tidy when storing because you can wrap half the cord around the base of the hand mixer. It can be a little tricky getting the attachments off the machine just by pressing the button. But I did find if you pull the attachments whilst pushing the button, it does make it easier.
There’s a really cool stand to place the hand mixer and attachments in. This is great for storage or if you want to put the mixer on display. The kMix also comes with the usual instructions plus some recipe cards to get you started.
In conclusion
The Kenwood kMix hand mixer is mid to high range in comparison to other hand mixers. For that, you get some really good accessories like the stand, it has a cool retro look and a 350 watt motor which, when using it, mixes things pretty effortlessly.
