- 500g Minced beef
- 2 tsp Dijon Mustard
- 1 tbsp Oregano
- 50g Grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper
- 1 Egg
- 100g Parma ham
Directions
Here’s my delicious meatloaf recipe, made with low fat minced beef and tasty parmesan cheese. An easy American dish to prepare at home.
- Preheat the oven to 180c / 350f.
- Finely chop the onion, garlic and parsley. Then add to a large mixing bowl.
- To the bowl, add the minced beef, mustard, oregano, parmesan cheese and Worcestershire sauce.
- Crack in the egg and season with salt and pepper.
- Thoroughly combine the ingredients together using a wooden spoon, or preferably your hands.
- Line a loaf tin with some greaseproof or parchment paper.
- Then line the tin with Parma ham, ensuring it overlaps over the edges of the tin.
- Fill the tin with the beef filling and compact it down. Then wrap the top of the meatloaf with the overhanging Parma ham.
- Bake in the oven for 50 minutes, until the top is golden and crisp, and the meatloaf is cooked through.
- Turn the meatloaf out from the loaf tin and leave to cool for 10 minutes.
- Slice into 8 then serve and enjoy.
