Cloud Bread Recipe
- 3 Eggs
- ¼ tsp Cream of tartar
- Pinch of salt
- 50g Cream cheese
- 2 tsp Chia seeds
Directions
This is a great carb free alternative to bread. My cloud bread recipe is egg based with only a few more ingredients, which also makes it gluten free.
- Preheat the oven to 130c/ 265f.
- Separate the egg yolks from their whites.
- Add the egg whites to a large mixing bowl with the cream of tartar. Whisk until you form stiff peaks.
- Add the cream cheese and salt to the egg yolks. Whisk until smooth.
- Lightly fold the egg whites into the yolk mixture. Be careful not to knock out too much air from the whites.
- Briefly fold in the chia seeds.
- Take a baking tray lined with greaseproof or parchment paper and spoon out 10 buns from the mixture.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.
- When the cloud bread has just started to turn golden, remove from the oven. Leave to cool briefly and enjoy.
These taste great with a smoked salmon and rocket filling.
