Taco Fries Recipe
- Basic Chilli Con Carne Recipe
- Tomato Ketchup (240g)
- Mayonnaise (240g)
- Worcester Sauce (Dash)
- Grated Cheese (120g)
- 3 Baking Potatoes
- Oil (to roast)
Directions
Believe if or not, I first discovered Taco Fries on a trip over to Ireland and I've been hooked on them ever since. Despite getting them from a takeaway they still tasted amazing! To make them a bit less of a sin, check out my Gourmet Taco Fries Recipe with Potato Wedges, Chilli, Pink Sauce and Cheese.
- Start by making the Pink Sauce. Simply mix together the Ketchup, Mayonnaise and a few dashes of Worcester Sauce then set aside.
- Meanwhile, prepare the Chilli by using my Chilli Con Carne Recipe (fry up the ingredients, leaving to simmer then rest).
- Whilst the Chilli is simmering, prepare the Potato Wedges by heating some Oil in an oven tray on 220c, and chopping the Potatoes into Wedges.
- Once the Oil is heated, carefully toss the Wedges in the oven tray and cook for 30-40 minutes (stirring occasionally).
- Once the Chilli and Wedges are cooked, serve by layering the ingredients. Starting with the Potato Wedges, Chilli Con Carne, Pink Sauce, then a sprinkling of grated Cheese - Voila - Taco Fries!
