I’ve never been much of a baker (as you’ll see from the amount of desserts that appear on FitBrits.com), so I decided to give chocolate brownies a go.
After looking at a few chocolate brownie recipes, the ingredients seems pretty standard. However, one thing I don’t stand for when cooking is FAFF! “Sift the flour, fold in the flour, make a well for the eggs – blah, blah, blah”! I was under the impressions these were supposed to be easy to make!?
It’s all going in the same place after all, so I just chucked everything into the bowl and mixed, and you know what, the outcome wasn’t that bad either! Literally, just chuck everything into a mixing bowl (after melting the butter and chocolate) and mix thoroughly.
Siftings for time-wasters – so check out my Chocolate Brownie Recipe on FitBrits.com!

I hope you’ve all had a great weekend, the weather has certainly been phenomenal to say the least.
It’s been a busy weekend in the FitBrits kitchen too, not only have we been perfecting our Gourmet Pizza Recipe, we’ve also tried, tested and uploaded a great Flapjack Recipe to FitBrits.com
The recipe came from a good friend over in South Africa (where they call a flapjack a crunchie), the only missing ingredient is something called ProNutro which is a fortified cereal originally made to help against malnutrition in babies. The good thing is you can’t really tell the difference without it, and even better, this Flapjack recipe is dead easy to make. It’s literally a case of throwing everything in a bowl, cooking, then enjoy!
We hope you’ll try it and let us know what you think of it on Facebook, you can leave a comment at the bottom of the Flapjack Recipe page.

I’m not much of a cake baker, but after eating (what I thought was) a pretty unique idea for a cake, I thought I’d give it a try, and I think it worked out alright – Oreo Muffins.
You may think that doesn’t sound too unique, but the difference is that I put the Oreo at the bottom of the Muffin case whole (instead of breaking it up on top).
All you gotta do is get yourself a standard chocolate muffin mix recipe (I used a Nigella one, because I’m a little bit in love with her) and pour it over the Oreos in the Muffin cases. Cook in the oven, then you’re done.
Luckily, I had a family BBQ this weekend to do a bit of user testing, and the feedback was pretty good. I’ll be sure to blog about my next creation so stay tuned. I’m thinking this could be a cake revolution!

Check out our new Beef Stew Recipe on FitBrits.com
When it comes to making a good stew, I don’t believe in faffing about! All you need to do is roughly chop everything and chuck it all in a pan. Stew it, and then you’re done!
This recipe also has a slight Mediterranean feel to it with a hint of Paprika.
Give it a try, and if you love it, let us know what you think on Facebook and Twitter.
