So I’ve just come back from a great festival at Glasto. After getting there on Wed 22nd (at some ungodly hour in the morning) and leaving at another ungodly hour early on Mon 27th, it required a substantial amount of food to get us through. This time, I wasn’t overly prepared to pay the £7+ for greasy burgers in a bap, so in my quest to save money wherever possible, I took my own food. This could only mean one thing, cereal bars and dinners in a tin. So here’s my quick review: Tinned meatballs (around 45p) – Avoid if at all possible! Tinned Chicken Tikka Masalla (around 80p) – Where’s the chicken!? Tinned Beef Stew (around 80p) – Best out of a bad bunch! So after a long sleep on my return, I couldn’t wait to fry up some onions and garlic and cook up something from scratch, boy can you taste the difference! |
