Banana SandwichSo I tweeted the other week about the mighty Banana Sandwich because quiet simply, they taste brilliant!

It’s just a shame that whenever I seem to mention them, I usually get the same response. Put politely, “that sounds disgusting”!

But, don’t knock it if you haven’t tried it – that’s what I say. So here are my top tips for making the perfect Banana Sandwich:

  • Bread – you must use soft, WHITE bread for your Banana Sandwich
  • Leave the crusts on
  • Use margarine, not butter. Because you need an equal spread on each slice of bread to make a perfectly soft Banana Sandwich
  • Slice the banana width ways at a thickness of 1cm – no more, no less!

Slice the Banana Sandwich in half and enjoy, and if you’re lucky, you may even have some banana left over for dessert!
