How to make Pancakes
- 125g Plain Flour
- 300ml Milk
- 1 Egg
- Oil (to fry)
- Lemon Juice
- Sugar
Directions
It's Shrove Tuesday and I have loads of Eggs, Flour and Milk I need to use up - time to make pancakes! This is a really simple Pancake Recipe using a basic batter mix.
- Start by making the batter mix. Get a large mixing bowl and pour in the Flour, Milk and crack in the Egg.
- With a whisk, thoroughly mix until the ingredients are fully combined and smooth (no lumps). Then pour the batter into a jug.
- Heat a little Oil in a non-stick pan on the hob, then pour in 1/3 of the batter to evenly cover the pan (making sure it's not too thick).
- Cook for a few minutes. Check the underside and when it begins to brown, flip the pancake.
- Cook for another few minutes then serve onto a plate, drizzling with Lemon Juice and Sprinkling with Sugar.
- Serve up and enjoy!
Tip! Invest in a good quality non-stick pan to save trouble flipping your pancake. And remember not to make them too thick so they cook evenly.
